One time in an interview the great Michael Jordan stopped the interviewer short. The interviewer was going on and on about Jordan’s talent, and how that was a gift that set him apart from the rest. Jordan responded by saying, you know, I was cut from my high school basketball team, and it was a lesson I’ve never forgotten.
So now, every day in the off season I’m in the gym, shooting 5,000 baskets a day, every day. Sure, I was blessed with talent for the game, but when you see me on the court doing something that defies logic, remember I have made that exact same shot thousands of times in the gym before the game. Nuff said.
